Met Gala 2023 Red Carpet: All the Celebrity Dresses, Outfits, and Looks — See Photos

Put on your best gowns and bring out your inner fashion critic because the Met Gala 2023 red carpet has officially started, and we're collating every look for your viewing pleasure.

If you are a fashion enthusiast, May 1 has probably been marked, bolded, and penciled in your calendars since the Met Gala 2022 wrapped; and we don't blame you. The Met Ball is the event of the year for anyone tuned into the sartorial world, and we anticipate many major looks this year too. The Met Gala 2023's theme is Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty. According to the Met, the exhibition which inspired the ball's theme explores “the artistic methodology and stylistic vocabulary of Karl Lagerfeld's designs through recurring themes across more than 65 years, from the 1950s to his final collection in 2019.”

Like every year, the theme is open to interpretation, so we'll see who nails it and who delivers despite not staying on theme once the night is over — but we're expecting some memorable moments from the Met Gala 2023 — in the form of looks and beyond.

Rihanna has been giving us a taste of what she might wear on the Met Gala 2023 red carpet in the lead-up to the event, wearing not one but two looks from Karl Lagerfeld's archive — one Chanel and one Fendi. Though there were rumors that TV's reigning family might not be invited, Kim Kardashian has also been teasing her Met Gala 2023 inspiration on Instagram. (Even North West and Penelope Disick were spotted in NYC just days before the gala decked out in Chanel.) But the real moment has just begun.

See all the looks celebrities are wearing to the Met Gala 2023 red carpet below — and don't forget to keep refreshing the page as more stars make it to the famed stairs!
